Simple Portrait Photography

So with a little more time on my hands and the weather getting warmer I persuaded one of my on-site models to come outside for a simple portrait this week. With blue cloudless skies the light was a little harsh, but I didn’t want to go all out and setup studio lights and modifiers. So this was shot with a pretty minimalist setup, using a single speed light as an off-camera flash to fill in the shadows using nothing more than a white shoot-thru umbrella. It also added the catch lights in the eyes too !
