Hey there, I’m Richard Davies. Photographer based in beautiful Buckinghamshire

I've been passionate about photography for many years but really got going in 2005 when digital cameras were becoming the 'norm' and the quality of the images they could produce were an equal match to film cameras. As I invested more and more time in photography I decided that I would specialise in people and choose portrait photography as the specialism for my business. With that said, I shoot other genres such as landscapes and commercial photography occasionally too. Even within the genre of portrait photographer there are many nuances such as using natural light, studio lighting or a combination of the two, leading to different styles of image. The challenge of good portrait photography is harnessing and controlling the light you have available to create a beautiful image. When my kids were born I had two perfect models with which to take endless images and branched out into newborn portraits from there. Today I work with all kinds of people who have all kinds of motivations for a photo shoot, from those celebrating a newborn baby, presents for loved ones, striking content for social media, family memories or business portraits to name a few. Although I have set packages for shoots I able to flex my photographic solutions to meet your needs and always happy to discuss requirements and create bespoke solutions.
