Off for a photo session with Daddy - the result

So the master plan was to take my daughter down to the end of the road and then follow a footpath to a small wood that I've used frequently as a location for photos. As it was just the two of us, I had to load up the buggy with all the camera gear I thought I'd need, plus toys and distractions for my daughter. Unfortunately when we got to the footpath we found it was too overgrown to attempt to push the buggy down and further down the hill by the side of the wood it was just the same. There was no way I was going to be able to carry my daughter and all the kit so alas we turned around and came home. Undaunted we setup in the garden and I tried to keep my daughter distracted enough so that I could get some shots without her sat with toys wedged in her mouth, which is how she exists for 95% of her waking hours these days. This was one of the first shots I got. With the harsh afternoon sun light I needed to add some fill flash from the left of the camera to balance out the scene. The rest of the shots all involved some kind of toy present to keep her busy, so this was the shot of the day.
