Behind the scenes......

Today it was time to create an image to use on our Christmas cards and our daughter seemed the ideal model to replace last years mince pies. As usual with photographing babies, she wasn't always co-operating with the photographer. Creating images of babies requires plenty of preparation and testing before the shoot, as babies rarely sit still and pose for very long. However even once the props were arranged and the lighting configured and tested, it still took plenty of time to get the right pose and it took a good 20 minutes of shooting to get a couple of perfect images. During which time my able assistant had to entertain, stimulate and retrieve our daughter when she toppled over. I was still taking photos as all this was going on and I thought the little montage below was an appropriate 'behind the scenes' summary - I'll publish the final image was the cards have gone out in the post !
